PIANO HERO by Belgian composer Stefan Prinsis an ongoing cycle, in which the romantic piano virtuoso is placed into a technological and highly mediated twenty-first century palace of mirrors. The piano is deconstructed and then put back together differently, extended through the use of new media. The physical hero on stage interacts with his digitally splintered acoustic and visual avatars in a multi-dimensional hybrid reality. The world premiere of the full PIANO HERO cycle in Darmstadt with Belgian pianist Stéphane Ginsburgh and the support of the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology Zurich (ICST) will be followed by performances at our co-production partners of the project, Ultima festival Oslo and deBijloke Gent.

In cooperation with the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology Zürich (ICST), Ultima Festival Oslo and deBijloke Gent
