Tutor: Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir
Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir's special focus will be on new solo repertoire and interdisciplinary pieces for harp. Participants are encouraged to bring pieces involving video, electronics, and extended playing techniques. For example: Simon Steen-Andersen: The history of my instrument, Georges Aperghis: Fidelité, Sarah Nemtsov: A deux, Marc Andre: Un-Fini I. Additionally, standard contemporary repertoire, both solo and chamber music is very welcome. Participants who want to work on ensemble pieces will be assisted in finding chamber music partners. In addition to working on new repertoire participants will be offered workshops on amplification and extended techniques. Finally, participants will be invited to take part in the harp-composition workshop, where composers and harpists work together on short new pieces or etudes for Harp.
Besides her harp-interpretation workshop Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir will present the results of her extensive research and experience with harp playing techniques and notation in an open lecture. Furthermore, she will be present in different formats and presentations as a dialogue partner for the Summer Course composers.
