Fausto Romitelli, born on February 1st, 1963 in Gorizia (Görz), completed his composition studies at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan, and continued at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and the Milan Scuola Civica. In 1991 he moved to Paris, where he studied new technologies in the ‚Cursus d'Informatique Musicale’ at IRCAM, where he remained until 1995 as ‚compositeur en recherche’.
The primary source of inspiration for his musical development was the music of the French Spectralists, particularly Hugues Dufourt and Gérard Grisey. He also continued to search beyond the boundaries of the academic avant garde; in his music he combined an eloquent and expressive content with the powerful impact of a complex formal structure. It is from this point of view that his most important works should be regarded: the trilogy Professor Bad Trip (1998-2000), which was inspired by Henri Michaux' drug and hallucinogen-influenced writings. In addition to his interest in deformation and artificiality, Romitelli also incorporated experiments with rock music elements into this work, as well as the electroacoustic transformation of sound. Fausto Romitelli succumbed to serious illness in Milan on June 27th, 2004.
Last works: Flowing down too slow for string orchestra, percussion and bells, 2001, Amok Koma for ensemble and electronics, 2001, Chorus for percussionists, 2001, Trash TV Trance for electric guitar, 2002, An Index of Metals, video opera for soprano, ensemble, multiple projections and electronics (Text: Kenka Lekovich, Video: Paolo Pachini, Leonardo Romoli, 2003, Dead City Radio Audiodrome for orchestra, 2003, Green, Yellow and Blue for ensemble, 2003.

Since 2006 he has taught music theory, ear training, and electronic music in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock, in the advanced training division of the Musikhoch-schule Detmold, and, since 2009, at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. Kreidler's works have been featured at numerous international music festivals, including the Donaueschingen and Darmstadt festivals, Ultima Festival Oslo, Musica Strasbourg, Gaudeamus Music Week, and the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Patricia Alessandrini’s works, principally involving live electronics, actively engage with the concert music repertoire, and issues of representation, interpretation, perception and
memory. She has become increasingly involved in multimedia, theatrical and collaborative work, often involving social and political issues. She studied composition with Ivan Fedele, Paul Koonce, Tristan Murail, and Thea Musgrave, and participated in courses with Richard Ayres, Franco Donatoni, Brian Ferneyhough, Beat Furrer, Jonathan Harvey, Michael Jarrell, Betsy Jolas, Helmut Lachenmann, David Lang, Pär Lindgren, Philippe Manoury and Marco Stroppa. She attended an experimental course in composition and live electronics at the Conservatorio di Bologna with Adriano Guarnieri and Alvise Vidolin and IRCAM’s Cursus I and II, the latter involving the production of a multimedia project. She holds a diploma in composition from the Conservatoire Nationale de Région de Strasbourg and a PhD from Princeton University; her PhD thesis deals with computer-assisted composition and analysis. Recent works: Mismoded for female voice, guitar, and percussion with electronics and interactive video (2011), Adagio de l’absence - network performance for three musicians in two or more sites and two to ten ‘players’ controlling interactive video via iPod touch/iPhone/iPad (2010), Adagio sans quatuor - kinetic sound installation (2010), menus morceaux par un autre moi réunis for guitar and electronics (2009).
